I have a confession to make: I have never watched an episode of Jersey Shore in my life. Don’t get me wrong, I am not above diving into a trashy TV. My history watching The Bad Girls Club, I Love New York and The Bachelor is proof. Maybe it’s because I have ditched cable TV, but Jersey Shore was not on my radar.
So when my husband told me he won free tickets to see Pauly D (Thanks Radio Now 100.9!), I was confused. Was this a new local DJ? It wasn’t until we were in the car, driving to the event did I decide to google him. My husband seemed a little petrified.
“What did I get myself into?” he asked me. But, due to my husbands love of free things, of course we were still going.
We had a blast. The DJ Pauly D was high energy, and I appreciate the 90’s and early 2000’s hip-hop he added to the mix, because as an early 90’s baby (aka practually a grandma) I prefer it to what the kids are listen to these days.
This was the second event that I attended at the Pavilion at Pan Am (the first was Baconfest) and this venue never disappoints. I had the chance to dance, grab a bite to eat on nearby Georgia Street, and spend some time with my husband. All things considered, it was a fun night.
